Lot Size
The number of currency units you trade in one forex position — standard, mini, or micro lots.
Lot size directly controls how much money you can win or lose on each pip move. Smart traders choose lot sizes based on their account size and risk rules — never risking more than 1-2% of their account on a single trade.
It's deciding how big a slice of the pizza you want to bet on.
Real world: A standard lot is 100,000 units of the base currency. A mini lot is 10,000 units. Beginners often start with micro lots (1,000 units) so they don't risk too much money on each trade.
💡 Smaller lot sizes keep you safe while you learn; bigger lot sizes multiply both wins and losses.
