About The Game
Trade Tornado™ is a series of interactive educational quiz applications designed to test, sharpen, and gamify your financial trading knowledge. Think of it as a trading simulator — but instead of placing real orders, you answer scenario-based questions using real concepts like RSI, MACD, support and resistance, and options strategies. Your performance earns or loses fictional virtual currency, making learning feel high-stakes without any real financial risk.
Both games use the exact same underlying game engine with all the same features. The difference is the theme:
- Trade Tornado: High Stakes™ — focuses on Stock Trading and Options Trading scenarios. Questions cover equities, technical indicators applied to traditional markets, and options strategies.
- Trade Tornado: Crypto™ — focuses on Cryptocurrency Trading. Questions cover crypto-specific scenarios, digital asset behaviour, and crypto technical analysis.
Yes, completely free. There are no subscriptions, no premium tiers, and no in-app purchases of any kind. The games are supported by affiliate advertising — a short 20-second ad timewall appears after every few quiz attempts. That's the only "cost" to you.
No account is required. Simply visit the quiz page, agree to the consent screen, and start playing immediately. Session data (attempts, scores, net total) is held in your browser for the duration of your visit and resets when you close the page — keeping the game fresh and replayable every time.
Trade Tornado™ is optimised for desktop and tablet devices. A minimum screen width of approximately 768px is required. Mobile phones will see a message requesting a larger screen. Supported browsers include Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. We recommend Google Chrome in fullscreen mode for the best experience.
How To Play
Here's how a typical round flows:
- Consent Screen — Read and accept the terms, then press "Start Quiz".
- Select a Topic — Your active quiz topic is highlighted on the left panel.
- Answer 4 Questions — Each shows a trading scenario, 4 possible answers, and a correct answer reward in virtual currency. A Multiplier Bonus may occasionally appear.
- Navigate — Use Previous / Next buttons or ← → arrow keys. You can change answers before submitting.
- Submit — On the final question, "Next" becomes "Submit Quiz".
- Results — See your net profit or loss, score, and a "Take Quiz Again" button.
By Design This is intentional! Answer options are randomly shuffled each time a question is rendered — including when you navigate back. This prevents memorising answer positions rather than understanding concepts. Don't worry — your selected answer is saved and your radio button will still be pre-selected on the correct option when you return.
Skipped questions are recorded as "No answer" and treated as incorrect — applying the standard virtual loss for that question. Always give it your best guess! There's no extra penalty beyond the standard virtual loss.
Each question is assigned a random correct answer reward (shown on screen) and a corresponding wrong answer loss — entirely fictional virtual dollar amounts. After each round, your earnings and losses are added to a running Net Total on the left panel. If your cumulative net total drops below $0, you'll be able restart the game from the top.
Pro Tip When your running net total drops below $0, the "Gotta Be More Careful Next Time" notification appears. Before restarting, review your incorrect answers and attempt history — once you restart, all that data is cleared! After restarting, you'll receive a Dedication Bonus as a reward for persisting.
Keyboard Shortcuts Use ← Left Arrow to go to the previous question and → Right Arrow to advance (or submit on the final question). Press Escape to close any open modal overlay, such as Attempts or Incorrect Answers panels.
Game Features
Special Feature There is a random chance a Multiplier Bonus will appear on any given question. When it does, a slider appears letting you select a multiplier between 2x and 10x. You have two choices:
- Multiply — Activate it. If you're correct, your reward is multiplied. If wrong, your loss is also multiplied — high risk, high reward.
- Skip — Dismiss it and answer at normal value.
The neon Performance Gauge in the bottom-left panel is a visual speedometer showing your running average score across all attempts in the current session. Three colour zones:
- Red (0–33%) — Needs improvement. Review the fundamentals.
- Yellow (33–66%) — Getting better! Keep building knowledge.
- Green (66–100%) — Expert level. Excellent trading knowledge!
The View Attempts button opens a panel showing a complete history of every quiz round in your current session. For each attempt you can see your score (e.g., 3/4 — 75%) and whether that round resulted in a virtual net profit or loss. This data is session-based and resets when you restart after a net loss or press the Reset button.
After submitting a quiz, the View Incorrect Answers button opens a detailed review of every question you got wrong in your most recent round. For each mistake you'll see the full question text, your answer, the correct answer, and the virtual loss incurred. This is the most powerful learning tool in the game — use it to identify your knowledge gaps.
Caution The Reset button performs a full session reset. This clears your net total (back to $0), all attempt history, your incorrect answers log, and the performance gauge (back to 0%). A fresh set of questions loads automatically. Use it when you want to begin a completely new session.
Click the ⛶ fullscreen button in the bottom-right corner of the game. Fullscreen is strongly recommended because the game's layout is designed for maximum screen real estate, and the neon gauge, animations, and background visuals look dramatically better without distraction. Press Escape or click the button again (↲) to exit fullscreen.
Bonus Feature The 🎖 Dedication Bonus is awarded whenever you restart after a net loss. It's the game's way of rewarding persistence. After the restart (and any applicable timewall), a gold-themed modal grants you a virtual bonus amount. Clicking "Claim Bonus" adds this to your new session's net total, giving you a head start.
